Marketing services for HVAC contractors who want to stay accurate
HVACNews.ca does two things for Canadian HVAC contractors. It reports the changes that affect the trade, such as a new federal heat pump rebate, a proposed efficiency standard, a safety authority notice or a utility rebate update, with a link to the official source and that source's real date. And it helps contractors use that knowledge in their own marketing, so the company that understands a change is also the one homeowners find when they search for it.
What's in the newsroom now
The short answer: eight verified stories, each ending with a labelled analysis of what it means for a contracting business.
- Programs. The $2 billion National Heat Pump Rebate announced on October 8, 2026, and the Greener Homes Affordability agreements signed with five provinces.
- Regulation. Bill S-4, which would modernize the Energy Efficiency Act and passed the Senate in June 2026, the proposed Amendment 19 to federal efficiency rules, the SEER2 and HSPF2 standards now applying to central air conditioners and heat pumps, and TSSA's warning about unregistered fuels workers.
- Market data. NRCan's Greener Homes figures and the Canada Energy Regulator's heat pump snapshot.
The newsroom page explains how we choose and verify stories.
Why a news site offers marketing
HVAC demand comes in two kinds. Some is urgent, a dead furnace on a January night, and goes to whoever answers. The rest is triggered by information: a rebate announcement, a utility letter, a neighbour's new heat pump, a news story about efficiency rules.
That second kind is where most contractor websites go quiet. A homeowner who has just read about the federal rebate searches for what it means for them and lands on national news or government pages, with no local contractor in sight. A contractor with one clear, dated, accurate page on the subject can be the next click, and the next call.
Our job on the marketing side is to help contractors publish that local, accurate version, and to keep it current when the program changes.
What we do for HVAC contractors
The marketing half of HVACNews.ca is a digital marketing and business consulting practice for HVAC and heating firms. We are not a contractor; we never install, repair or service equipment.
- Rebate and program pages that explain each change to homeowners in your area, with "as of" dates and links to administrators.
- Local search and Google Business Profile, so you show up in the map results where you actually work.
- Google Ads timed to programs and weather, which change message when a rebate opens or a cold snap hits.
- HVAC websites built to stay current, with a structure that makes dated updates easy.

The maths behind a program page
Here is a calculation any owner can check. Say a heat pump install averages $12,000 in revenue and $3,600 in gross profit. If a well-built rebate page brings 300 local visitors a month in the weeks after a program change, and 2% call, that is six calls. If you close one in three, that is two jobs and about $7,200 of gross profit in a month from one page.
Now suppose the page still quotes last year's rebate amounts. Visitors notice, trust drops, and the same traffic might produce one call or none. The page did not get less traffic; it got less believable. That is why we treat dates and sources as a sales tool, not a formality.
Proof from named clients
Our results come from HVAC and heating companies, and we name each one. HeatLand published 850+ SEO articles and saw a 300% lead increase in 6 months, the clearest example in our portfolio of content-led growth. HVACDeal.ca generated 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI. Roma Heating & Cooling grew organic traffic 400% in 12 months.
Every business and market is different, so these are examples, not promises. The results page explains what each case shows and what carries over to your situation.
Coverage in every province and territory
HVAC markets differ sharply across Canada. Alberta and Saskatchewan heat mostly with natural gas; Quebec mostly with electricity; New Brunswick, PEI and Nova Scotia have some of the highest heat pump shares in the country. Each region has its own safety authority and its own programs.
Our areas hub links a page for each province and one for the three territories. Each lists the regulators to know, the programs we verified with dates, the climate pattern, and how we would approach marketing there.

Frequently asked questions
What is HVACNews.ca?
HVACNews.ca is a Canadian newsroom and marketing service for HVAC contractors. The newsroom is run from Vancouver, BC, as part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, with Ali Sedighi, MBA, as editor and strategist.
Are you an HVAC contractor?
No. HVACNews.ca has no crews, no trucks and no gas tickets; we never install, repair or service heating or cooling equipment. We report on the HVAC trade and provide digital marketing and business consulting to HVAC companies.
How do you make sure the news is accurate?
Each story is built on a primary source we loaded ourselves, such as a federal department, the Canada Gazette, a provincial safety authority or a utility. We link it, date it, and keep our analysis in a separate, labelled section.
What does your marketing cost?
Monthly plans start at $2,998 for Starter, with Growth at $4,498 and Elite at $8,998. Websites start at $3,500 one-time. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and GST/HST is added at your provincial rate.
Can you promise more leads?
No honest agency can. We show the reasoning behind a plan, real results from named HVAC clients, and what we will measure each month so you can judge the work yourself.
Do you work outside British Columbia?
Yes. We work with HVAC contractors in every province and territory, and each coverage page lists the local regulators and programs we verified.
